Annan Amateur Art Club (also known as Annan Art Club) are a group of people who paint/sketch as a hobby. We work in all mediums.
The club was formed in 1967 by a group of people interested in painting/drawing. We currently have a membership of 22 people and have space in our new venue for a few new members. Although not officially a teaching group, we do give guidance and assistance to one another. Our members are friendly, sociable, and helpful.

Annan Art Club held a successful Open Day on Sunday 8th October in Kate’s Kitchen, with
approximately 50 plus visitors. Comments both verbal and written in our visitors book were very
good. This motivates and helps our members to improve their art work.
Just to remind people although we are a non teaching group, we have been able through funding to provide occasional teaching from a qualified art teacher. Its important to say that we do help one another, and there is good social interaction between members.
If you are interested in finding out more about our group, please feel free to pop in to Kate’s
Kitchen (Old Royal Bank Building) 52 High Street, Annan on a Tuesday afternoon between the

In March 2023 we were successful in an application for a small grant from Dumfries & Galloway Council (Annandale and Eskdale Discretionary Budget - Small Grants). It is our intention to use this money wisely on a number of art related activities within the club, e.g. periodic professional tuition.
