
An overcast sky and the threat of rain did not dampen the enthusiasm of the 13 walkers who enjoyed a brisk 8 mile walk in the hills overlooking the Black Esk.
There are numerous signs of ancient settlements throughout this area with all their associated unknowns. Just as mysterious however is the monument seen in the photograph. Located on the hillside of Tanlawhill Rig it is definitely modern but a monument to whom and when was it built? As yet unanswered questions. A good day out.
