The walking group again arranged perfect walking weather-dry, bright but not too hot.
After leaving the cars at the quarry car park near Walltown just beyond Greenhead the twenty nine walkers ascended the ridge walking east and joined the undulating wall path which gave panoramic views in all directions.
After stopping for a picnic lunch at Cawfield the walkers took a return route back to Walltown; this followed a path beside the vallum along the bottom of the valley. The seven mile walk was very enjoyable and no doubt further walks along the wall will be arranged.
