35 walkers enjoyed this seven mile circular walk from Mutehill.
The walk followed the eastern shore of Kirkcudbright Bay to Torrs Point where lunch was taken with views from the cliff tops over the Solway on a sunny but hazy day to Little Ross Island and the surrounding coastline. The walkers then passed through the Dundrennan Gunnery Range, dodging the bullets as they went before returning by a quiet country road to the coast.
The countryside added its spring freshness to the day with the help of yellow daffodils, dandelions and primroses supplemented by drifts of bluebells.
The Group's general good luck with the weather was underlined by the contrast of the tropical downpour that met them on their return to Annan.
