Walk 134 Report, 14th June 2009

Annan Walking Group in Newcastleton

On a bright sunny morning 34 members left Newcastleton following the river Liddel and then on to the old railway track(once the Waverley Line), leaving the track we then had to walk on road towards the old site of Castleton village branching off into Priesthill forest.

Following the old drove road along forestry tracks then stopping at picnic area by dragonfly ponds to enjoy ' Al Fresco' lunch in brilliant summer sunshine before making our way back downhill to return back along the river to start point in Douglas Square.
