Walk 128 Report, Sunday 8 March

Annan Walking Group at the Thomas Carlyle monument

The weather on Sunday morning did not look promising; gale force winds, possible sleet or snow forecast. However, 23 walkers met at the Thomas Carlyle monument in Ecclefechan.

The circular 5.5 mile walk through the woodland on Brownmoor did not present any problems.

The wintry showers did not materialise and the sun came out giving good views over Ecclefechan and Eaglesfield making it an enjoyable outing.
