Walk 126 Report, Sunday 8 February

Annan Walking Group on a Langholm Walk

On a cold frosty February day , 42 intrepid walkers turned up to walk the Duchess Walk in slippery conditions due to overnight snow and frost.

Leaving Langholm from Kilngreen, passing the Armstrong Museum and the ruins of Langholm Castle, through Langfauld Wood, the river Esk was crossed at the bridge at Potholm Farm. The return to Kilngreen  was via the Duchess Bridge where salmon were spotted heading up river.

This lovely 5 mile walk was enjoyed by all.
