With the 250th anniversary of Robert Burns the following day, the walk chosen for Saturday 24th January was the Annan Shore Walk, taking in the Cairn at Waterfoot. This was erected in memory of the National Bard and celebrates local links during Burns's time as an exciseman.
Weather and tide were good to the 33 who ventured forth and who were entertained en route with points of interest from local historian Jim Hawkins.
