Walk 104 Report, Sat 23 February

Annan Walking Group walking Kippford

In spite of early morning storm force winds, rain and a terrible weather forecast twenty six walkers met at Rockcliffe.

The route was along the Jubilee Path to Kippford. The photo was taken on the Mote Of Mark looking down on the estuary of the  Urr Water and Rough Island. Fortunately the weather improved as the walkers passed Rockcliffe and crossed  into the forest at Barnbarroch. After a picnic lunch the group then proceeded along the edge of Barean Loch and joined the main road at Colvend. The last mile of the  7 mile route was along the busy road back to Rockcliffe.
