Lochmaben's four lochs - On Sunday 59 walkers gathered on Lochmaben High Street for the 6 mile walk around Lochmaben's four lochs.
This walk was the100th regular walk since the group's formation on 13th July 2003.
The group took the path along the south edge of the Mill Loch then followed the track of the old drove road past Lochhead cottages and Primrose Bank to the Nurses' Loaning. The morning mist partly obscured Woodley Castle hill and Upper Loch. They then took the road towards Hightae leaving it at Marlake Bridge.
The weather was sunny and warm and the lunch break at Lochmaben Castle was like a summer picnic. There was a wide variety of waterfowl on Castle Loch nature reserve and many hundreds of geese took flight as we approached making a wonderful spectacle.
Following the walk afternoon tea was provided in the Bruce Restaurant in Annan.
