The 2007 lower Annandale Walking Festival took place over the weekend of 11 - 13 May 2007.

Please note: there will be no Walking Festival in 2008 - but an Annandale Way Walking Festival is planned for 2009 to mark the establishment of the Annandale Way. In addition, regular scheduled walks will continue to take place in the area throughout 2008 organised by the Annan Walking Group >>

On each day there was a selection of guided walks exploring the beautiful coast and countryside around Annan, Lockerbie and Lochmaben.

The three small towns have a long and ancient history with links to the Bruce family and have been Royal Burghs for 600 years. They offer the ideal base to explore both the superb natural shoreline of the Solway Firth that divides Scotland and England and the hinterland of Annandale rich in flora and fauna.

A selection of photos from the event can be found below; a full report will be online soon.
