After all the rains 42 members and friends thoroughly enjoyed the Group’s first outing of the year. There was therefore much catching up to do which meant that the babble of voices was perhaps more prominent than the calls of the wild.
The weather was fine and almost windless which allowed lunch to be taken on top of Wardlaw Hill. From there the panorama was eyecatching particularly the views over the Solway with the sun catching its mudflats and seaflows. The photo above, shows the Group on the"forbidden land" in front of the impressive ruin of the castle of the lark - Caerlaverock Castle.
