Inter School Quiz
This year's quiz will be hosted by Newington School starts at 6.30pm.
Teams from the four Annan Primary Schools take part in this annual challenge which has been going strong since 1981. A battle of wits featuring Elmvale, Hecklegirth, Newington and St Columba’s Primary Schools.

Highland Dancing
Competition starts at 11.00am in Newington Primary School. Sponsored by J. Walker Metal Merchants, M&S Engineering

Belted Stane
Leave from Creca Village Hall at 11am.
Belted Stane lies on the north west boundary of the Annan Marches. The visit is on foot. This will be followed by - Alter Stane
This is the most southerly point of the Annan Marches and lies out in the Solway Firth. The tractor leaves from Whinnyrigg 12.00 noon. All participants do so at their own risk.

ROM Bowling Competition
Annan Bowling Club host this annual event. Principals will present the trophies in the evening at 7pm approx.

Junior 7- a- Side
Annan Athletic, Galabank 6.30pm.
This competition is open to all schools in the Annan Academy catchment area. Teams must be entered through their primary schools.

Annan Athletic, Galabank 6.30pm. Competition for the Alex Irving Memorial Trophy. First 16 teams accepted. Sponsored by Dennis Anderson Builders.

Thursday 22nd June
Boundary Walk
Our traditional walking of the boundary from Brydekirk to Annan. Led by Cornet Brook Johnston, Cornet's Lass Katy Nelson, Standard Bearer Rachael Anderson and Queen of the Border Holly Cassell. A leisurely stroll along the riverbank. Well behaved dogs most welcome.
Meet at the town hall at 6.45pm for free transport to Brydekirk. Sturdy footwear recommended.
After the walk their will be a quiz at Annan Athletic Football Club 9.00pm.

Ladies Games Night
At the Blue Bell Inn from 7.30pm.
Darts, dominoes, skittles and other novelty games. A male free night! Ladies, come along and have some fun!

Kirkin' of the Cornet
The service will take place in Annan Old Parish Church at 11.15am.
Past and present Principals, Committee Conveners, General Committee, Crowning Retinue, and Committee along with youth organisations meet at the Town Hall for the parade at 10.45am. Our Cornet and Lass will lay a wreath at the War Memorial.
All welcome.

Raft Race & Fun Day
Fun on the Everholm starts at 2.00pm judging at 1.30pm.

Cornet's Ball
Annan's night of nights, 7.00pm for 7.30pm until 4.00am. at the Corner House Hotel / The Shed. Various eating places. Bands, Dancing & Disco. Tickets £35.00 includes full dinner. Formal dress required call Aileen Walker on 01461201248. Dress code applies. Full details will be advertised in the Annandale Observer.

Thursday 29th June
Yard of Ale and Penny Pitching
At The Firth Hotel. Play starts at 6.30pm. The staff at the Firth Guarantee you a warm welcome, Yard of ale at 8.00pm.

Riders leave to ride the Burgh Boundaries, High Street 7.30am.

Carnival Procession reaches the Fish Cross at 1.00pm.

Afternoon at Annan Academy 2.00pm

Closing Ceremony on High Street with the handing back of the Burgh Standard begins at 5.45pm.

Massed Pipes and Drums 6.15.pm.

AROM Dog Show
Market Hall Annan Show opens at 10.30am. with Judging from Midday. Pedigree and fun classes Junior Handling, Rosettes, Prizes and trophies on offer. Raffle, tombolla stalls and refreshments. Come along and have some fun.

Scottish Pipeband ChampionshipsAnnan Riding of the Marches Pipeband Contest is getting bigger with £4000 prize money to be won including £700 FOR EVERY FIRST PRIZE in all piping grades.
