  • Spring Fling Taster Exhibition Opening :: Friday 17 May, 6 - 8pm @ Annan Museum, Bank Street, Annan DG12 6AA
    Spring Fling
    The public are invited to a colourful taster exhibition, featuring work by 93 artists and craft makers, which is about to open at Annan Museum.
    It will be the first time the annual Spring Fling Taster exhibition has come to Annan and the public are invited to the official opening on 17 May. The opening will be carried out by the 2013 Annan Riding of the Marches Principals and Cornet Gary Williamson. Those attending the event will be treated to refreshments and entertained by talented 14-year-old cellist Hugo Eedle and his mother Sarah, who will be playing the piano.
    The exhibition itself includes an impressive range of work on show from paintings, photography and ceramics through to jewellery, textiles and willow weaving. Among them are pieces by artists and makers based around Annan, Lockerbie, Moffat and Langholm.

  • Dress to Impress - Fashion in early photography :: Sat 22 June - Sat 31 August
     @ Annan Museum
    This exhibition is a snapshot of fashion and photography from 1880s cartes de visite to the start of the movie age in the early 1900s. Visit this exhibition for a glamorous glimpse into the past. Try on replica costumes and create your own carte de visite, design your own Victorian or Edwardian outfit or try out early optical instruments from the time of photography and moving image invention.
