Thanks to a generous grant from the National Lottery the Annan Museum is refurbishing the permanent exhibition. The new extended display will open on 19 April, 11am. It will display more of the town's collection including costume, photographs and the town regalia.
- 18 June– 2 August
In 1949 the first Queen of the Border was crowned as part of the Riding of the Marches festivities. We celebrate the 50 year milestone with an exhibition of photographs and memorabilia. The exhibition includes dresses and costumes from the various queens and their entourage; photographs old and new and stories of Riding of the Marches experiences. Not to be missed.
- 6 August – 20 September
A Future Museums travelling exhibition on the history of the textile industry in South West Scotland. Includes historic costumes and modern textile art.
- 24 September – 1 November
A fascinating exhibition of photographs, quotations and descriptions of Scott’s final expedition. Moving and unique. A must see exhibition.
The Annan Museum also houses a permanent exhibition on the history of Annan. This fascinating walk through time, from stone age technology to nuclear fusion, includes interactives and children's activities. It is open to the public during normal hours, but is available to group/coach bookings anytime.
