    Annan From AboveA community writing project. Creative responses to aerial photographs of Annan 1919-1953
    Displays of Britain from Above photographs and of the work created, brief readings by the writers and distribution of copies of the book and a glass of wine or fruit juice for all. This is a free event - you are asked to arrive by the Museum entrance in Bank Street.

    During the early stages of World War One most people in Britain thought that the fighting would be over quickly and that troops sent off to battle would be “home by Christmas”.
    This exhibition of local stories, recruitment posters and memorabilia is part of a series of exhibitions planned across Dumfries and Galloway museums commemorating a past generation caught up in The Great War.
