and it is on sale at the Historic Resources Centre Annan
during exhibition opening hours (Wed to Sat, 11am to 4 pm),
at local libraries, and at selected retail outlets.
Through
the Lens for the Annan Landward Area,
which covers Newbie, Kinmount, Kelhead, Brydekirk & Creca etc
is in preparation. Old photos of people working, machinery & other
activities are being sought. All photos will be returned
promptly.

Through
the Lens: Glimpses of Old Annan Burgh
Volume
24 of the Dumfries and Galloway Through the Lens series,
entitled Glimpses of old Annan Burgh has been published
by Dumfries and Galloway Libraries, Information and Archives
and the Friends of Annandale and Eskdale Museums.
It contains 50 photographs of people and places of Annan parish
dating from the 1860s to recent times. Very few
of the photographs have been published before, among the rest
are some remarkable and unique ones of great interest and importance.
