All walks start at the ClipICT, High Street, Annan.

Friday 11th May

Walk 1: The Annan Maritime Path

An easy level walk. (8 km / 5 miles)
Starting at 6.45 pm. (Approx return 9.00pm)

Starting from Annan High Street, then along the Solway shore to the Solway Viaduct Pier, then across the Merse to Annan Waterfoot and back to Annan.

Saturday 12th May

Walk 2: Beacon Hill to Joe Graham’s Monument

A more challenging walk, some stiff climbs. (13 km / 8 miles)
Starting at 9.30 am. (Approx return 3.00pm)

Starting from Thorniethwaite climbing onto Beacon Hill, then to Rammerscales woods before climbing to Joe Graham’s Monument and on to Kirkhill.

Walk 3: Barnkirk point to Brydekirk

A longer walk. (13 km / 8 miles)
Starting at 11.00 am. (Approx return 3.45pm)

Starting from the shore of the Solway at Newbiebarns to Barnkirk Point, then following the River Annan to Annan, then further upstream to the woodlands at Mount Annan and onto Brydekirk

Walk 4: Hoddom Castle and Repentance Tower

A walk with a moderate climb. (10 km /6 miles)
Starting at 12.45pm. (Approx return 4.15pm)

A circular route starting from Hoddom Bridge following the River Annan upstream to its junction with the Milk Water then round to Hoddom Castle before climbing to Repentance Tower and returning to Hoddom Castle.

Saturday Evening; Musical entertainment
at the Blue Bell Inn, High Street, Annan from 9pm.

Sunday 13th May

Walk 5: Well Springs, Applegarth and Torwood

A longer level walk. ( 11 km / 7 miles)
Starting at 10.30am (Approx return 3.30pm)

Starting from Craw Wood, through Wells Springs plantation, by Dryfesdalegate, Applegarth Church and the wildlife sanctuary. Returning to Lockerbie along Gallaberry Road and Torwood

Walk 6: Lochmaben Lochs and Castles

A longer level walk. ( 10 km / 6 miles)
Starting at 10.30 am (Approx return 3.45pm)

A circular route starting from Lochmaben Bowling Green, around three of Lochmaben’s lochs visiting Lochmaben Castle and past the motte and bailey of the earlier Bruce fortification before returning to Lochmaben.

Walk 7: Kettleholm to Brydekirk

A longer level walk. (13 km / 8 miles)
Starting at 9.30am (Approx return 3.00pm)

Starting from Kettleholm this route passes Milkbank House, crosses Sorrysike Moor to Brocklerigg and then follows the Water of Milk and the River Annan past Hoddom Castle to Brydekirk.

Tea and Farewell, Bruce Restaurant, High Street, Annan from 4pm
