Solway Street, Annan, DG12 6HY Tel: 01461 202606 Roll approx. 160-165 Primary, 45-50 Nursery Hecklegirth School was built in 1963 and has recently undergone major refurbishment. The school, built on three floors, is situated in the centre of the town of Annan and lies adjacent to Annan Academy. Externally we enjoy generous grounds which are divided into tarmac, a grass field and a nature garden. The school's catchment area is mainly from the centre of the town and we currently have 62% of our pupils coming from other areas. Hecklegirth School has rooms available for teaching Music, Drama and ICT. All classrooms have internet access and all pupils receive an e-mail address on enrolment. There is a school library, meeting rooms, a large school hall and lunch hall. We have visiting specialists in Physical Education, Music and Art & Design and are pleased to offer a wide range of extra-curricular activities such as Chess, Football, Gymnastics and Choir. The children attend at least one residential outdoor education experience in their upper years. Our Nursery caters for three and four year old children. Adjacent to the nursery are meeting rooms, offices and a 'Wraparound Care' facility.
