CAERLAVEROCK
WETLANDS CENTRE
People
of all ages can reap the benefits of swimming; many suffering
from injury or rheumatic disorders find it an ideal way to
keep fit without adding pressure on their bodies.
The 1400-acre site and centre provides all year round facilities
for viewing many species of wild birds, duck, and wading birds.
During October vast flocks of up to 20,000 Barnacle Geese arrive
from the Arctic, together with Whooper Swans from Iceland and many
other winter visitors, this makes a thrilling spectacle.

The
Caerlaverock Wetlands Centre has a tearoom, gift shop, bookshop
and facilities for the disabled. Tel: 01387
